Vetrimaran has also received an invitation to have the film screened at the Budapest Film Festival next month. The film has been lauded for its novel approach and freshness of theme and features the music of Isai Nyaani Illaiyaraja.Īnother film which is receiving international attention is Vetrimaran’s multi-award winner, Aadukallam which drew an ovation at its first screening in the Montreal Film Festival. Suseendran’s off-beat Azhagarsamiyin Kuthirai has earned accolades after being screened at the Toronto Film Festival. Meanwhile, Jeeva is completing work on Shankar’s Nanban. Billed as a romantic entertainer, the film – titled Nithya – will see Samantha of Baana Kaathaadi-fame play the female lead and the film will have music by Menon’s new regular, A.R.Rahman. The much-hyped film that will bring together for the first time director Goutham Vasudev Menon and actor Jeeva, has had its launch postponed to 29 August.
